Lately I have been over run by all the 'stuff' in our house.
The girl's room is ALWAYS a mess with clothes strewn
all over and toys everywhere.
This week I decided that less is more.
I went through mine and Kory's clothes and donated
1/3 of them. I went through the girls clothes. They had so
many clothes. Their drawers were so full that it was hard to close.
So I let them pick out a few of their favorite outfits and the rest got put into
storage. I also Packed up all their toys except 3 stuffed animal each and a few books.
I started thinking, pioneer children didn't have a lot of clothes, toys, or t.v.
and they were happy. And I think maybe it's the REASON that they were happy.
I feel like my kids are overwhelmed with STUFF. So above are the pictures
of what there room looks like. Just 2 mattresses a few stuffed animals and
as shelf that has a container for each of them with their clothes.
It cuts down on the laundry too. I'll keep everyone updated on
how this works out. I did keep all the girls toys in
organized tubs, so during quiet time or when friends come over
we can pull out one at a time for them to play with.
On a separate note..... Lila has been refusing to wear anything
but dresses and tutus, and not just dresses, princess dresses.
I just decided to give up, who cares if she wants to wear
princess dresses everyday, she's 2, she should be able to wear
whatever she wants! Why should I fight her on this?
I shouldn't so if you see us anytime soon, rest assure that
Lila will be wearing some form of princess dress.
